About TMS

What you need to know about Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

What is TMS?

TMS is a safe, effective treatment for Major Depression. TMS is non-systemic (not through the whole body like medication) and non-invasive (not entering the body). As a result, patients receiving TMS treatment can continue their lives normally without major side effects.

Treatments last about 30 minutes and are typically given 5 days a week for six to eight weeks and are given in an office setting without anesthesia. Side effects are minimal and typically only involve minor discomfort around the treatment area. Patients are able to work, go to school, and continue their normal daily activities without interruption

Is TMS Right for Me?

If you have taken more than 1 anti-depressant medication, have had medications failed to provide adequate benefit for your depression or have side effects from medication outweigh the benefits then TMS treatment is an option for you.

If depression has increased your doctor visits for other healthcare conditions or is affecting your ability to make a living then TMS treatment is an option for you.
